How to Put in an Overlap Pool Liner
- 1). Inspect the liner for any damage or defects. Check the seams for any tears. Pick up any rocks or pebbles that are in the pool area.
- 2). Pour a sand wedge between the ground and the wall of the pool. There should be at least 4 inches between the ground and the wall.
- 3). Cover the ground inside the pool with sand, or you can purchase a pool padding to cover the pool floor.
- 4). Take your shoes off and go into the pool area with the liner. With the pattern side up, adjust the liner evenly around the pool.
- 5). Hang the liner over the pool wall. Remove a stabilizer bar, and pull up the liner to drape it over the wall about two inches.
- 6). Place a coping strip on the wall to secure the liner. Duct tape the liner to the outside wall every few inches to help keep the liner in place.
- 7). Remove one part of the stabilizer at a time to finish hanging the liner over the pool.
