- 1). Turn off and unplug the computer. Remove the battery.
- 2). Unscrew and remove the memory cover.
- 3). Press the metal clips to the side to release the memory module from the slot. The memory will angle up so that it can be removed.
- 4). Insert the new memory module into the slot an an angle. Press down on the module and ensure that the metal clips are on top of the module so that it stays secure.
