    • 1). Make your connections. Connect a digital video disk (DVD) player to the composite video input jacks. They are the yellow, red and white jacks on the back of the television. Connect the television to the comparable jacks on the DVD source---yellow to yellow and so on.

    • 2). Connect a free-to-air digital converter box, a cable box or a satellite receiver to the coax antenna jack.

    • 3). Turn on the television and the source.

    • 4). Press the Menu button on the remote control and highlight "Setup." Select "Language" and adjust the menu language. The default is English.

    • 5). Adjust the signal. From the Setup menu highlight "Auto Channel Search" and choose "Cable." Select Cable for a satellite, cable box or free-to-air. Press the right button to start the search. The search will register Channel 3 in the memory. Allow the search to complete.

    • 6). Adjust the television channels, tune the television to Channel 3 and make your channel adjustments on the source box. For example, if you want to see Channel 9, tune to it on the free-to-air digital converter box or cable source and keep the RCA analog television on Channel 3.

    • 7). Set the time by highlighting the main menu's time setting. Use the number buttons to adjust the time. Press "OK."

    • 8). Press the "Input" button to adjust the source selection. "Input 1" will be the DVD player.

    • 9). Adjust the screen format by pressing the "Zoom" button on the remote if it has a zoom button
