Fuchsia Plant Recovery
- 1). Set the hanging fuchsia plant on a table and push your finger up to the first knuckle into the soil to check whether the soil is dry. If it is, water the plant thoroughly until the soil is soaked and water leaks out the bottom of the pot.

Feed the plant a general-purpose liquid fertilizer as fuchsias need to be fertilized each week. Check the fertilizer instructions to ensure that you are supplying the correct amount for the size of the flowerpot. Well-rotted manure or compost can also be placed on the soil or gently dug in to supply a slow release of nutrients. - 3). Pinch off dead flowers as the seed pods that form after the flowers drop consume much of the plant's energy. Dead-heading flowers encourages new blooms.
- 4). Fuchsias are shade plants so make sure that the drooping plant is kept out of the hot afternoon sun. The plant can tolerate morning and late afternoon sun.
