How to Burn Music From a Media Library to an Audio CD

    • 1). Double-click on the Windows Media Player desktop icon. If there is no icon on the desktop, click on the "Start" menu button in the lower-left corner of the screen, and then click on the Windows Media Player icon to open the program.

    • 2). Click on "Burn" in the main Windows Media Player window. A smaller window will open on the side of the Media Player.

    • 3). Select the "Library" option, which is located on the top of the Media Player screen, and then click on "Songs." This generates a list of all of the songs in your Media Player library. Click on a track that you want to add to the Burn list, and drag it over to the window that is labeled "Burn." Drag all of the songs that you want on the CD to this window.

    • 4). Change the order of the songs if needed. The songs will be burned onto the CD in the order they're listed in the "Burn" window. To change the order, click on a song and hold the mouse button down while you drag it to the correct location in the list.

    • 5). Insert a blank CD into your computer's CD burner.

    • 6). Click on the "Start Burn" button, which is located on the bottom-right section of the Media Player screen. The Burn window will appear, and you can see the progress of the songs that are being burned to the CD.

    • 7). Remove the CD once you see the message that the burn is complete.
