How to Copy DVDs With HandBrake
- 1). Insert your DVD into your computer's disc drive and launch HandBrake. The program should read your disc automatically; however, if not, click the "Source" icon in the upper-left corner of the screen. Locate your DVD's icon in the pop-up Windows Explorer window, highlight the icon and click "Open."
- 2). Wait for HandBrake to scan your DVD and load its chapters in the main interface. Click the "Title" drop-down box and choose the longest title (this is the main feature film).
- 3). Click the "Browse..." button to choose an output destination on your computer for where to save your copied movie.
- 4). Choose one of the output formats from the "Format" box under "Output Settings." To see more specific preset choices, click the "Presets" button in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- 5). Click the "Start" button to begin copying your DVD to your hard drive.
