- 1). Insert the BitDefender Rescue CD into your CD-ROM drive and turn on your computer. If you do not already have a BitDefender Rescue CD, you will need to download one from the BitDefender homepage (see Resources).
- 2). Press "Enter" when the "BitDefender Rescue CD" menu appears. The BitDefender Rescue CD will automatically update the virus definitions as long as an Internet connection is detected.
- 3). Click "Start" when the "Antimalware Scan" screen appears. The BitDefender Rescue CD will automatically scan your computer and remove any malicious programs that it detects. Once the scan is complete, you will be prompted to restart your computer.
