Extract the two switch cover screws from the top-left and top-right corners of the base. - 14
Extract the three keyboard screws, two from inside the battery bay and one from between the top-right corner of the memory module compartment and the top-left corner of the hard drive compartment. - 15
Extract the eighteen top cover screws from the computer base. Nine are located along the left, right and bottom edges of the base; one is located in the middle of the hard drive compartment; six are found inside the battery bay; and the last two are found at the left of the coin-cell part of the memory module compartment. - 16
Turn the computer over and open the display. - 17
Flip the switch cover over the keyboard, disconnect the two cables on it and remove it from the computer. - 18
Lift the back of the keyboard, pull it toward the display and flip it over the palm rest. Disconnect the flat cable that connects it to the motherboard and take the keyboard off the computer. - 19
Locate the power button board at the top-left corner of the space vacated by the switch cover and the keyboard. Extract the screw on it and disconnect the three cables attached to it. Remove it from the computer. - 20
