    African Daisies

    • African daisies are colorful blooms that will liven up your home. They can grow up to 5 feet tall, producing flowers that are orange, yellow, purple or white in color. They will need to be watered weekly for best results, with the soil being kept moist at all times. The markings on the inside of the flower often are interesting and differ from a regular daisy.

    Boston Fern

    • Boston ferns are luscious fern plants with long leaves that look attractive in a hanging basket. They do need to be kept slightly wet, so for a healthy fern spray the plant daily with water. It needs light, but don't put a Boston fern in direct sunlight. If any of its leaves start to get dry or brown, just trim the fern with a pair of scissors. Ferns are popular and not harmful to kids or animals.

    Spider Plant

    • Spider plants are pretty house plants. They are a good house plant for someone who doesn't know a lot about taking care of plants. Spider plants have long, narrow leaves and produce small white flowers. Keep a spider plant in lots of sunlight. Keep the soil damp at all times, and plant the spider plant in a hanging basket or in a large pot on the ground to best display its beauty.

    Prayer Plant

    • Prayer plants have dramatic, beautiful markings on their leaves. When the leaves fold, they can resemble tiny praying hands. The plants can live a long time if proper care is provided. They don't need direct sunlight and need damp soil in the warmer months, but can be kept dry in the colder times of year. The leaves can be wiped with a cloth if they get dusty or dirty. Since it is a tropical plant, it is used to a warmer climate.
