- 1). Plug the USB flash drive into one of the available USB ports on the computer.
- 2). Click the "Start" button followed by either "My Computer" or "Computer" (depending on which operating system you are using).
- 3). Double-click the removable device icon. A window opens with all the content currently installed on the flash drive. Double-click the driver icon in the window. This launches the driver installation wizard. Follow the brief set of prompts to complete the driver installation.
- 4). If the driver isn't on the USB drive already, launch your Internet browser and navigate to the drive manufacturer's website.
- 5). Select "Support," then look up your USB product. Choose the operating system you are running, then download the provided driver. Double-click the download once it has finished (found either in a "Downloads" window or on the desktop). Follow the brief set of prompts to complete the correct driver installation.
