How to Remove Paint From an Old Log Cabin
- 1). Cover the area beneath the cabin with plastic drop cloths. Cover the plastic cloths with fabric ones.
- 2). Apply paint stripper to a 3-foot wide area using an oil-based brush. Allow 30 seconds for the stripper to loosen the paint.
- 3). Scrape the paint free using a plastic putty knife. Continue the removal process until you have removed all of the paint from the surface.
- 4). Scrape loose any paint within the cracks, holes and fissures using a dental hook.
