For a fall theme, create a large tree that fills the bulletin board space. Cover the board in light blue. Cut a wavy piece of green paper and staple to the bottom for the ground. Cut a large piece of butcher paper to create a tree trunk and twist smaller pieces into branches and staple to the board. Cut yellow letters with a die-cut machine to spell "Fallin' For Jesus" vertically down the trunk and staple. Have the children trace their hands on red, yellow and orange construction paper, write their names on them and cut them out. Glue the hands onto the branches to make leaves. Attach the smaller ones to fall from the branches down to the ground.

    Whiter Than Snow

Create a winter board around Psalm 51:7, "Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow." Cover the board in dark blue paper. Create four or five mountains from brown paper bags; cut the bags into large panels and shape a panel into a cone. Crinkle the cones to look like mountains and staple them onto the bulletin board. Glue small pieces of white cotton batting on the tops and sides of the mountains to resemble snow. Make a snowy ground by stapling a large piece of crinkled white tissue paper across the bottom of the mountains with half of the paper hanging below the bottom of the board. Fold that paper back onto the board and shape into a large snow hill by tucking the edges in to create a rounded cone shape. Staple into place. Using a large font, type the scripture and print on a sheet of white paper. Cut around the scripture creating an oval and glue onto the snow mountain. Cut a picture of a mountain cabin, chalet or house with a chimney from a magazine and place on the snow in front of a mountain.

    Jesus Is Our Savior

Create a nautical theme board with a "Jesus Is Our Savior" theme. Cover the board with blue paper. Make six "wood dock posts" by cutting butcher paper in graduated sizes. Use a black marker to make wood grain markings down each post. The tallest should be two inches shorter than the height of the board. Each post should be two inches shorter than the one next to it. Staple these onto the bottom right corner with the tallest nearest the edge. Pin a life preserver over the posts. Purchase one, or make one from a white plastic foam wreath form with strips of wide red tape located at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock. Write in red ink or tape red letters on the white sections that say "Jesus Is Our Savior." Fill the upper left corner of the board with nautical items purchased from a dollar store or toy store, such as plastic lobsters, fish, starfish, anchors and a fishing net draped diagonally over the corner.
