Gparted Partition Manager Instructions
- 1). Click the "Devices" menu item and select from the displayed list of available disk drives where the new partition table will be created.
- 2). Click "Device" from the menu and click "Create Partition Table."
- 3). Click on the "Advanced" tab in the "Create Partition Table" dialog and confirm the file system type for the new partition.
- 4). Click "Apply" to write the new partition table information to the device. Creating a new partition table will erase all data presently on the device.
- 1). Click the "Devices" menu item and select from the displayed list of available disk drives where the new partition will be created.
- 2). Click on "Unallocated" in the Graphic display or Text area.
- 3). Click "Partition" from the menu and select "New." The "Create New Partition" dialog will open.
- 4). Enter the desired size of the new partition based on the available unallocated space remaining on the device.
- 5). Set the appropriate partition type in the dialog as well as the file system type and label and click "Add" to complete the process.
- 1). Click on an unmounted partition in either the Graphic or Text display area.
- 2). Click "Partition" from the menu followed by "Delete."
- 3). Confirm the "Delete" action when prompted to do so to fully remove the partition.
