How to Enable Text Substitutions in Firefox on Mac Snow Leopard
- 1). Click the "Firefox" menu button and select "Add-ons." Type "FoxReplace" in the search box at the top right, and then press "Enter." Click "Install," and then restart Firefox to activate the text substitution add-on.
- 2). Click the "Firefox" menu button and then select "Add-ons." Click the "Preferences" button beside "FoxReplace."
- 3). Click "Add."
- 4). Enter website address on which you want to enable text substitution, and then click "Add." If you want the text substitution pattern to apply on every website, leave the "URLs" tab blank.
- 5). Select the "Substitutions" tab.
- 6). Enter the text, whole word or regular expression you want to replace in the left text box and the text that will be substituted in the right text box and then click "Add."
- 7). Click "OK" when you have finished adding your text substitution patterns. Press "F2" to replace text on a website according to the text substitution patterns you have saved using FoxReplace.
