- 1). Power on the computer and the HP 2100, then insert the driver installation CD into the CD/DVD drive of the computer. Close out any "AutoPlay" window that loads on the screen.
- 2). Follow the prompts of the installation wizard that loads onto the screen. Click "Install" to install the driver.
- 3). Click "Start," then choose "Run" and type in "hdwwiz.cpl." Click "Open" to access the infrared setup wizard.
- 4). Click "Next," then select "Yes, I have already connected the hardware." Choose "Next," then select "Add a new hardware device."
- 5). Choose "Install the hardware that I manually select," then choose "Infrared devices."
- 6). Type in "Hewlett-Packard" as the manufacturer, then select the HP 2100 from the list of devices. Click "Next" to complete the setup process. Now you can use the printer to create any desired document on your computer. In most programs, click "File," "Print," then choose the "HP 2100." Click "OK" to print the file.
