- 1). Press the "Settings" icon on your iPhone.
- 2). Select "General" from the Settings menu and press "Spotlight Search."
- 3). Remove the checkmarks next to each Spotlight Search category that you want to disable. You can add or delete checkmarks simply by pressing on the individual category listings. To disable Spotlight Search completely, remove the checkmarks next to each category.
- 4). Exit the Spotlight Search menu. Your changes will take effect immediately.
