- 1). Download the latest BartPE self-installing package (see References).
- 2). Double-click on the BartPE self-installing package to initiate the software.
- 3). Insert the original Windows XP installation/recovery CD when prompted by BartPE. Click "Yes" to begin searching for the necessary Windows XP files needed to build your BartPE CD/DVD. The program will automatically begin by searching your CD/DVD drive for the files.
- 4). Select the "Burn to CD/DVD," option from the main dialog box within BartPE. Select your CD/DVD writer device from the list provided.
- 5). Click on "Build" to begin building your BartPE recovery disk. Click "Yes" when prompted to continue. The Windows XP licensing agreement will appear. Click on "Agree" to move forward with the burn process.
