    Sending Flowers to Friends

    • 1). Determine what type of flowers you wish to send. Consider the occasion and your reason for sending the flowers. Know what you want in advance so that the process of ordering and sending the flowers will be easier.

    • 2). Have a second choice in mind in case your first choice for a floral arrangement or bouquet is not available.

    • 3). Obtain the name, address and telephone number of the person to whom you will send the flowers. Determine whether you will send the flowers to their work or their home, and get the appropriate address.

    • 4). Compose a card message, which will be written on the card that is included with the flowers when they are delivered. Decide what you want to say in advance so you don't have to make something up off the top of your head when you order the flowers.

    • 5). Visit or call a florist in your area. Explain that you would like to have flowers delivered. Tell the florist when you would like the flowers to arrive.

    • 6). Describe what type of arrangement or bouquet you have in mind. Provide the name, address and telephone number of the recipient, as well as the card message you composed.

    • 7). Request for your florist to use a floral wire service, such as Teleflora or FTD, to send the flowers to a person who lives outside of your area. Plan to pay an additional $10 to $25 dollars on top of the cost of the flowers to cover the cost of wiring the flowers to another locale.

    • 8). Provide your payment information to cover the cost of the flowers, their delivery and, if applicable, the wire service fee.

    • 9). Keep your receipt or order confirmation number in case there is any problem with the flower delivery and your friends do not receive the flowers.
