How to Troubleshoot My LG Plasma TV
- 1). Check to see that the power cord is plugged into the wall socket if the TV does not turn on. Make sure that the TV is on. Test another channel as the problem could be with the broadcast. Plug another appliance into the wall socket to make sure there is power at the outlet.
- 2). Check that there is sufficient space between the TV and the VCR if the picture has a poor quality or if there is no picture at all. Make sure the video cables are secure and correctly connected. Adjust the color in the menu option.
- 3). Check that there are no other electrical appliances switched on if there are horizontal or vertical lines on the TV picture. These appliances can also be the cause of picture shaking.
- 4). Press the MUTE button if there is no sound from the TV. Check to see that the audio cables are secure and correctly installed. Try another channel as it could be due to the broadcast. Press the volume button.
- 5). Adjust the balance in the menu option if there is no sound coming from one of the speakers.
- 6). Clean the TV screen. Wet a soft cloth with a small mixture of lukewarm water and fabric softener. Wring out the cloth until it is almost dry and wipe the screen. Wipe the excess water from the screen and allow it to dry fully before turning on the TV.
