Meyer lemon (Citrus meyeri), also called Chinese dwarf lemon, is a naturally occurring dwarf variety of citrus tree. Mature trees average 6 to 10 feet tall, with shorter container-grown plants. The tree works well as a houseplant, or planted in the ground in USDA planting zones 8B through 10. Rather cold hardy for a citrus tree, Meyer lemon trees tolerate temperatures to 23 degrees Fahrenheit.
Trees bloom and fruit year-round, giving a constant supply of fruits. White blossoms tinged in pink are very fragrant.
