How to Use a DAC with a CD

    • 1). Insert the mini-jack at one end of the digital audio cable into the mini-jack line-output on the back of the CD player. Place the stand alone digital audio converter (DAC) next to the CD player. Plug the DAC's power cord into an outlet.

    • 2). Insert the mini-jack at the other end of the digital audio cable into the mini-jack input on the DAC.

    • 3). Insert the red and white RCA plugs at one end of an audio cable into the red and white RCA outputs on the DAC. Insert the red and white RCA plugs at the other end of the audio cable into the "AUX" line-inputs on the back of the audio amplifier.

    • 4). Press the DAC's power button to turn it on. Press the "Power" button on the amplifier's remote to turn it on. Press "System." Navigate to the "Audio" menu. Select "Aux" from the list of choices presented. Press "System" to exit the menu settings.

    • 5). Press "Eject" on the CD player's remote. Place a CD on the ejected tray. Press "Eject" to close the tray. Press "Play" on the CD's remote to start the CD playing. Adjust the volume on the amplifier, using its remote or the volume knob on its front panel, to raise or lower the volume of the audio coming out of the speakers.
