- 1). Click the "System" menu and select "Ubuntu Software Center."
- 2). Type "smplayer" in the Search field. Click "SMPlayer" in the list of results. Click the "Install" button. Wait for the program to download and install.
- 3). Click the "Applications" menu. Highlight "Sound & Video," then select "SMPlayer."
- 4). Insert the VCD in your computer's optical drive.
- 5). Click "Open," then "VCD." If prompted to pick a drive, select your computer's optical drive and select "VCD" from the "Open" menu again. The VCD starts playing.
