How to Plant Green Beans Easily
- 1
take a garden hoe and dig a trench for the seeds
First, take the garden hoe to one side of your garden and begin digging a shallow trench. You only need to dig the trench about 3 or 4 inches deep. Dig the trench in a straight line, the length of your garden. - 2
fill the trench with water and allow the soil to absorb the water
After you have dug the trench, take a water hose or bucket of water and fill the trench with water. Let soil absorb the water. - 3
sprinkle the seeds in the trench
Once the soil has absorbed the water, take the seeds and sprinkle them in a line down the length of the trench. - 4
take the hoe and cover the seeds with dirt
Then take the garden hoe and go back over the trench, covering the seeds with the dirt from the trench that you dug. - 5

To plant multiple rows of green beans, allow 2 to 3 feet between rows and repeat the process above. After you have planted the seeds, you should see some sprouts in about 2 weeks or so.
