How to Move a Toolbar From the Side to the Bottom of the Screen

    • 1). Right-click on any blank part of the taskbar, and on the menu that appears, locate "Lock the Taskbar." If that option is not on the menu that popped up, then the mouse pointer is not on an entirely blank area of the taskbar. Reposition the pointer and try again. If there is a check mark next to that option, click on it once to unlock the toolbar. If there is no check, then the bar is already unlocked.

    • 2). Place the tip of the mouse pointer on any blank section of the taskbar, and hold down the left mouse button. Move the pointer to the bottom of the screen. The taskbar will jump to the bottom when the pointer is moved. Release the left mouse button.

    • 3). Right-click on a blank area again to bring up the options menu. Click on "Lock the Taskbar." This will prevent it from being accidentally moved in the future, since it will have to be manually unlocked first.
