How to Plant Caribia Hybrid Tea Roses
- 1). Choose a plant that has strong, hardy stems. Stems should be bright green or red in color and firm to the touch. Make sure the leaves are healthy and not wilted.
- 2). Choose a sunny location. Roses need at least 6 hours of full sun a day. Make sure all danger of frost has passed.
- 3
Remove the plastic around the roots and the dirt. Spread the roots out and place in a bucket of water for about an hour. - 4). Dig a hole approximately 1 foot deep and 6-8 inches in diameter.
- 5
Build a cone shape of dirt in the bottom of the hole. Mix in the bone meal according to package directions. See image with step 6. - 6
Place the roots of the rose over the cone shape of dirt. Roses have a root knob just at the surface of the dirt. When planting, adjust the height of the cone shape of dirt to make sure the root knob will not be underground. It should rest just above ground. - 7
