It comes with a host of features like auto-duplexing, photo finishing, one-touch faxing, a scanner with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, auto-document feeder (ADF) and built in wireless 802.11g networking all of which allure to the small and midsize companies.

The HP Officejet J6480 is designed to be a large printer with dimension 18.7" wide and 18.6" deep, but has a very low height with just 10". The printer weighs pretty heavy with 16.87 pounds. The printer's design does not allow it to be moved often within the office. Nevertheless, the printer increases the aesthetic looks with its design - a combination of matte-white-and-gray panels and glossy black should blend in well with the indoors.
The first glimpse of the front panel makes it look too cluttered with buttons, but the buttons are organized for navigational ease. The front panel holds a wide range of shortcuts for the various functions of the printer, which includes the scanner, the printer, the copier and the fax machine. The printer also has a small, two-line LCD screen to quickly access system preferences and tools. The external card reader and the wireless ON/OFF button also, reside on the front panel.
