Varieties

• Many types of lemons exist. Some of the more popular types are the Meyer, a lemon and mandarin hybrid, and the Perrine, a lime and lemon hybrid.
  
  

Tree Size

• Lemon trees are typically from 10 to 20 feet tall, though many are used as potted plants. The size these trees attain depends on the size of the container.
  
  

Harvest

• Many lemon trees flower and produce fruit all year. Flowers drop during and immediately after they bloom. Fruit sets shortly after the flowers drop. The length of time to harvestable fruit varies greatly, as the lemon will continue to grow until it is harvested. Generally, fruit can be harvested about five months after the flowers first appear.
