Coping With Job Loss - 5 Reasons Why God May Have Wanted You to Lose Your Job

103 25
Whether you believe in God or not, there is usually the likelihood that certain things happen for a reason.
If you've recently lost your job, it might very well be that it was time for a change.
The sudden transition from being employed to now being unemployed is a very challenging and frightening one.
However, you may not have thought that there was a higher power at work that may have wanted you to lose your job.
The idea is not to offend you, or to destroy your faith in God.
Instead, the purpose is to illustrate that God is probably doing a happy dance over your job loss, and that the reasons for that happy dance are reasonably clear.
Challenge God wants to challenge you.
Far too many of us spend our lives taking it easy.
We exist in a life-zone that is too comfortable, too relaxed, and very underdeveloped.
The human soul was built to handle tough assignments.
Yet, we only use it for minor tasks that will never move us further along in our journey.
Before you lost your job, it is likely that you took your life circumstances for granted, and accepted things as they were.
However, your circumstances have now changed dramatically; forcing you to no longer see them the same way as before.
In a nutshell, your current job loss is God's way of getting you out of your comfort zone, and getting you to take some worthwhile and challenging risks.
Independence Everyone wants to be independent.
However, the likelihood that you felt independent on your job is very slim.
You may have hated your job, and wanted to find a way out of it.
Conversely, you may have loved your job, but wanted a whole lot more.
Yet, there was no way that you were going to leave the sense of security behind.
Unfortunately, now that you've lost your job, the sense of security went with it.
You might have even asked for God's help, but yet had no idea that the only alternative that God could offer was for you to lose your job.
So, today you can thank God for helping you regain your independence.
Self-Examination Most employed people are lazy and stupid.
They get up, get dressed, go to their jobs, and think absolutely nothing of it.
They don't read good books on a monthly basis.
They don't listen to self-improvement audio-cassette tapes or CDs.
They don't even seek out successful people who practice the art of attaining achievement daily.
Instead, they go about their lives like robotic drones, and blindly accept where they are.
And yet, most of them complain constantly about their low wages and office mistreatment.
However, in your case, God wanted you to be different.
The message is that you needed to do a check-up from the neck up, and you would only do it if you lost your job.
Happiness God wants you, me and everyone else to be happy.
This is why we are alive.
No one is brought here to experience pain, misery, and hopelessness.
However, we have to experience some pain and misery in order to fully understand what is truly meant by happiness.
Happiness has little to do with lifestyle and relationships.
You can live in a nice home, drive nice cars, have close family and friendship ties, and yet be as miserable as a dog with a toothache.
Instead, happiness involves truth.
When you understand the truth about how and why things occur (whether they be pleasant or unpleasant), happiness becomes inevitable.
Losing your job is God's way of connecting you to the truth, which will ultimately bring you true happiness.
Growth It's possible that you were a good person before suffering your job loss.
However, there is one question that you really need to ask yourself.
Who cares? Maybe you were a hard worker.
Again, who cares? Growth is not about being a good person.
It is about being a worthy one.
For growth to play a major role in your life, you have to be worthy to your family, your friends, your partners, your customers, and most importantly to yourself.
Naturally, being good is highly acceptable.
But, being good and unworthy is insane.
God knew that you had to grow, and also knew that losing your job would do the trick.
