    • 1). Click on the "Start" button, type "cmd" in the Search field and press Enter. An MS-Dos prompt should open.

    • 2). Type "chkdsk" in the command prompt and press Enter. This will run the Check Disk utility, performing a quick check on the hard disk.

    • 3). Check the log displayed once the check is complete. The value corresponding to the "total allocation units on disk" is the number of clusters on your hard disk drive.
