    Hook Up DVD Recorder

    • 1). Use a set of A/V cables or a coaxial cable to connect the PVR output to the DVD recorder input. If you decided to use a coaxial cable, the RF Out port on the PVR goes to the RF In port on the DVD recorder. If you decided to use a set of A/V cables, one end of each A/V plug goes into the A/V Out jack on the PVR that shares the same color. The other end of each A/V plug goes into the A/V In jack on the DVD recorder which, again, shares the same color.

    • 2). Connect the DVD recorder output to the TV input. Again, you can either use a set of A/V cables or a coaxial cable to link the two devices.

    • 3). Set the input channel on the TV set to the proper input source. (There should be an "Input" button on the TV remote that changes the TV's video input channel.) Set the input channel on the DVD recorder to the proper input source. (There should be an "Input" or "Source" button on the DVD recorder remote as well.)

    Dub from PVR to DVD

    • 1). Push "Eject" on the DVD recorder to release the tray. Place the DVD-R disc onto the tray, then push the tray back into the unit.

    • 2). Locate the "Speed," "Mode" or "Rec. Mode" button on the DVD recorder remote control. Use this button to set your preferred recording speed. Slower speeds don't use as much disk space. However, faster speeds result in a higher quality video.

    • 3). Open the PVR's recorded programs list. Find the show you want to burn to DVD and select it.

    • 4). Press "Record" on the DVD recorder to start dubbing the program. Press "Stop" on the DVD recorder at the end of the program.

    • 5). Press "Menu" on the DVD recorder remote. Use the remote's navigational buttons to locate and select the option to "Finalize."
