How to Install an Automobile Remote Starter
- 1). Read the remote starter installation instructions carefully. It is important to understand how to wire the remote starter to avoid any possible damage to the vehicle's electrical system.
- 2). Install the control module by finding a location behind the dash in the passenger area of the vehicle. Be sure to install the control module no more than 24-inches from the ignition.
- 3). Install the hood pin far from the drainage paths. The hood switch can be installed along the firewall behind the hood seal. The hood switch cannot become wet at any time; use the mounting brackets if needed to keep the hood switch away from drainage areas.
- 4). Install the program switch near the ignition switch on lower dash near on the drivers side. The program switch will allow selected features to be customized.
- 5). Connect the yellow wire to the start inhibit relay and the neutral safety switch.
- 6). Connect the blue wire to the ignition 1 wire located in the ignition switch.
- 7). The green wire connects to the ignition 2 switch and the violet wire connects to the accessories wire leading from the ignition.
- 8). The black wire is the ground and must be connected to a metal area on the chassis or to an existing ground source.
- 9). Connect one end of the black and white tracer wire to the control switch and the other end to the chassis ground.

Connect the gray wire from the hood pin from the engine compartment to the pin switch. Be sure to run the wire through the firewall of the vehicle to prevent a short circuit. - 11
The brown wire is connected to the break switch. The brown wire acts as a safety shutdown if the brakes are engaged. - 12
Connect one of the white wires to a ground and the other to the parking light wire. - 13
Programing the automobile remote starter. Once all the wires are connected the remote starter must be programmed. Each remote starter manufacturer has specific programming instructions. Read the manual to program the remote starter accordingly.
