How to Build Corn Feeders for Deer
- 1). Cut a slot in a 6' PVC pipe about 2 inches wide and 3 inches deep in the end of the pipe that is going into the container.
- 2). Drill several small holes into the bottom of a plastic container that measures about 6 inches tall and 16 inches wide. This allows rain to drain out of the container.
- 3). Attach the pipe to one side of your container using duct tape. Make sure the portion with the slot is facing the center of the container. The container is not enclosed and has an open top. Place the pipe inside the plastic container and 3 inches from the base of the container to allow the feed to drop.
- 4). Attach the feeder to a tree using sturdy cables such as bungee cords. The container sits at the base of the tree. Make sure the feeder is securely fastened to the tree and does not easily topple over.
- 5). Pour corn feed into the top of the PVC pipe.
