How to Change a POP Email Server

    Gmail

    • 1). Log in to your Gmail account.

    • 2). Click "Settings" in the upper-right corner.

    • 3). Click "Accounts and Forwarding."

    • 4). Click "Edit Info" next to the email address in the "Check Mail Using POP3" section for which you want to update POP server settings.

    • 5). Update the "POP Server" field and click "Save Changes."

    Outlook Express or Outlook 2003

    • 1). Go to "Tools" and then "Accounts."

    • 2). Highlight the account you want to update and click "Properties."

    • 3). Click the "Servers" tab.

    • 4). Update the "Incoming Mail POP3" field with your new POP3 server settings and click "OK."

    Outlook 2007

    • 1). Go to "Tools," then "Account Settings."

    • 2). Highlight the account you want to edit and click "Change."

    • 3). Replace the information in the "Incoming mail server" field with your new POP server settings, then click "Finish."

    • 4). Click "Close."

    Apple Mail

    • 1). Click "Mail," then "Preferences."

    • 2). Click the "Accounts" button at the top.

    • 3). Edit the "Incoming mail server" field with your new POP3 server settings.

    • 4). Click the red circle in the upper left to close the window. You will be asked if you want to save your changes; click "Yes."
