What's also important for remote fishing is checking local regulations, as many individual counties or lakes even have their own catch rules based on the local fish populations. • One of the keys to remote fishing is the word remote. Any fishing in the remote areas of Canada can literally be dozens of miles away from the nearest town and even further away from a hospital. Always tell someone where you're going and what your time frame is. Wearing a life vest and carrying an emergency first aid kit or an emergency survival kit is important.
