How to Keep Photos Straight on a Wall
- 1). Measure the width of your picture frame. Place the tape measure against the wall where you want to hang your pictures. Draw a very light pencil mark across the top of the tape measure.
- 2). Hammer one small nail into the line, to the left or right of center. Place the spirit level on the wall at the top of the nail. Ensure that it is straight. Hammer another nail on the opposite side of the previous nail. This will ensure two straight nails where your picture frame will sit.
- 3). Erase the pencil line with the eraser. Don't rub so hard that you damage the paint's finish; a light touch will do.
- 4). Put the picture frame on a solid surface, glass side down. Place removable adhesive putty on the bottom corners of the back side of the picture frame. Ensure that the putty is on the inside of the frame, where it touches the wall.
- 5). Hang the picture on the two nails. Press the bottom of the frame to the wall for a moment. The putty will adhere to the wall and the frame will stay in place.
- 6). Repeat the process for all of the framed photographs in the group.
