HP Pavilion 522c Specs
- Each HP Pavilion 522c desktop PC had an Athlon XP 2000+ processor from semiconductor manufacturer Advanced Micro Devices, better known as AMD. Its processing speed was 1.67 gigahertz, while its data transfer rate was 266 megahertz.
The Pavilion 522c had two dual in-line memory module slots, one of which contained 256 megabytes of system memory. Users had the option of expanding memory to 1 gigabyte. - HP installed a hard drive with 60GB of storage space on the Pavilion 522c. Also included was a CD-RW/DVD optical drive and a 3.5-inch 1.44MB diskette drive. The former had a 24x write speed for CD-Rs, 10x rewrite speed for CR-RWs, 40x read speed for CDs and 16x read speed for DVDs.
NVIDIA provided the 522c's motherboard-integrated NForce 220 chipset, which contained the computer's video and graphics capabilities. The sound driver, which adhered to Intel's Audio Codec '97 protocol, is also integrated on the motherboard. - The HP Pavilion 522c had a Cheetah 2 modem with data transfer speed standard of 56 kilobits per second. Moreover, the built-in Ethernet driver could provide up to 100 megabits per second in data transfer speed. Like the computer's audio and video/graphics controllers, the Ethernet card was integrated on the motherboard.
- The HP Pavilion 522c's external interfaces included an RJ-11 and RJ-45 connector for the modem and Ethernet, respectively; four USB ports for data transfer between electronic devices; the older serial and parallel connectors, also used for data transfer; two PS/2 connectors for the computer keyboard and mouse; and audio jacks for headphones and microphones. Included in the 522c's packaging are a pair of Polk Audio "L" stereo speakers, HP One-Touch Internet keyboard and scrolling mouse.
