How to Put an Artificial Worm on a Hook
- 1). Hold the artificial worm between your thumb and forefinger and hold the hook so that the pointed end is safely away from your fingers.
- 2). Push the hook inside of the artificial worm at the thick end of the head so the pointed end is sticking out toward the back of the worm.
- 3). Pull up on the hook so that the pointed end pushes inside the worm and the stringed end is at the tip of the head.
- 4). Make sure the hook is firmly embedded in the artificial worm to ensure that the fish bites down on the hook. Otherwise the fish will just steal the worm.
- 5). String the hook, if you haven't already done so. Tie the knot tightly and clip the excess string so you don't leave a knot or bow. Now your artificial worm looks like a real one. Cast the hook and move the line so that it appears to the fish to be alive.
