Blinking Fishing Lures Prove to be More Effective than Ordinary Bait
Blinking fishing lures are a new technology that's creating a buzz among hobbyists and professional fishermen. They are highly effective in catching the attention of fish and in enticing them into biting on the hook.
A blinking lure for fishing is made up of a small electric system powered by a battery. When the lure is moved in water, it emits red light that fish can easily spot in the water. More interestingly, the blood-like appearance of the light makes fish think that they've found an injured prey, so they bite on it.
Three fishermen in Mexico were actually able to set a new record for the number of large-mouth bass they caught using such type of lure. They took home 650 bass after only 25 hours of fishing. This translates to one bass every seven minutes for every fisherman, a feat they were able to achieve with a huge number of fish wildly biting on the bait.
There are even cases wherein blinking fishing lures proved that they are downright more effective compared to best-selling lures in the US. In Florida, for instance, two fishermen fished for four hours on the same boat, one with the flashing lure and the other with regular bait. The man with the flashing lure ended up catching three times more fish than the other.
The same enticement effect on fish was observed in Washington when a fisherman tried using the "bleeding" lure and caught a thirty-pound steelhead just after 30 minutes. What makes this extraordinary is that he and two other fishermen has been fishing for three hours earlier that day using a popular lure, yet failed to catch anything.
These are but a couple of instances that prove the effectiveness of this new breed of fishing lures.
