- 1). Download an anti-virus program which is suitable for the infected machines requirements from the Internet onto your clean PC.
- 2). Insert your USB flash drive into the clean PC and transfer the downloaded anti-virus executable file onto the flash drive and then safely eject the drive.
- 3). Restart your infected PC. As soon as it loads up press and hold the 'F8' key.
- 4). Select 'Safe Mode with Networking' on the Windows Advanced Options menu and press 'Enter'.
- 5). Enter your USB drive into the PC when the system has fully restarted. Open up the folder where your anti-virus program was saved and copy the file onto your desktop.
- 6). Double-click the program to start running/installing it and follow the manufacturers instructions.
