With more than 11,000 large lakes, and more than a million fishing licenses issued each year, it's no secret that fishing is big business in the state of Minnesota. The B.A.S.S. national organization has a strong presence in the state of Minnesota. While there are a handful of chapters in Minnesota, the largest one, Sportsmen Bassmasters, is located in central Minnesota, in the Twin Cities suburb of Bloomington. The club is focused on catching smallmouth and largemouth bass, two common types of fish in Minnesota. As a club, members take part in youth education and local lake cleanup operations, as well as taking part in B.A.S.S. tournaments throughout the year.

Like Sportsmen Bassmasters, this club is also part of the B.A.S.S. national federation. The club hosts bass fishing tournaments and other social activities throughout the year, mostly based around the Twin Cities suburb of Richfield.
