Directions for Replacing an Ink Cartridge in a Dell V505

1). Turn on the V505. Lift up the entire scanner assembly on the top of the machine. This will expose the two ink cartridges inside the machine.
2). Wait for the ink cartridge carriage to stop moving. Push the tabs covering the ink cartridges down, then push the ink cartridge covers up. Remove the ink cartridge from its slot.
3). Remove the new ink cartridge from its packaging, Make sure the take the sticker off the back of the ink cartridge, without touching the metallic surface.
4). Insert the ink cartridge into its slot in the printer. Lower the ink cartridge covers until the tabs snap into place. Close the printer's lid and allow the printer to calibrate the new cartridge.
