    • 1). Click the "Start" button. Click on "All Programs," then "Accessories," then "System Tools" and then "Backup."

      If the computer has Windows XP Home Edition installed, prior to starting the backup procedure insert the Windows XP Home Edition installation CD, then click the "Start" button, click "My Computer", right-click on the CD drive icon and click "Explore." In the Window that appears double-click the "ValueAdd" directory, double-click the "Msft" directory, then double-click the "Ntbackup" directory and then double-click on the Ntbackup.msi icon. Click the "Finish" button to complete the Ntbackup utility installation.

    • 2). Click the "Next" button in the "Backup or Restore Wizard" window that appears.

    • 3). Click the "Next" button in the "Backup or Restore" window.

    • 4). Click the "All information on this computer" radio button and then click the "Next" button.

    • 5). Click the "Choose a place to save your backup" drop-down box and then click on the destination drive for the backup file, or click the "Browse" button and navigate to the location where you wish to save the backup file, then click the "Save" button.

    • 6). Type a name for the backup file in the "Type a name for this backup" text box and then click the "Next" button.

    • 7). Click the "Finish" button to start the backup.
