    • 1). Decide on the size of your brochure and what you want it to present to readers. Most brochures can be made on 8 1/2-by-11-inch paper. Give consideration to the text, images and colors you want to use.

    • 2). Open Photoshop, click on the "File" menu and select "New..." Type in the height and width of your brochure. You can change the size menu from pixels to inches by clicking on the drop-down menu.

    • 3). Insert images into your brochure by clicking the "File" menu and then selecting "Place." Select your image from the pop-up window and click "Place." Then hit "Enter."

    • 4). Move the image by clicking on the "Move Tool" and dragging the image to where you want it placed. If you plan to fold your brochure, use the rulers at the top and side of the canvas to keep the folds in mind.

    • 5). Use the "Transform" options in the "Edit" menu to change the size and shape of the image. Use the "Eraser Tool" to erase unwanted areas of the image.

    • 6). Select the "Text Tool" and drag the mouse over the canvas to create a text box. Type the text you want for your brochure. Press "Crtl-A" on your keyboard to highlight all of the text. Click on the "Window" menu and then select "Character." You can then change the font, font size and color of the text.

    • 7). Move the text box into its proper position by using the "Move Tool" to drag the box to its proper position.

    • 8). Add other images and text boxes if needed for your brochure. Remember that every image, shape and text box is on a different layer. Click the layer you want to edit in the "Layers" panel before trying to move or edit it.

    • 9). Click "Arrange" under the "Layers" menu to move a layer above or below another as desired.

Save the brochure when finished by clicking "File" then "Save." Type in a name for the file to help you remember which side of the brochure it is for. Then use this file as a template to begin making the second side of your brochure by selecting "Save As..." in the "File" menu. Delete layers you don't need by clicking on them in the "Layers" panel and hitting the "Delete" key.

Print one side of the brochure, then put the paper back in the printer and print the second side of the brochure. Alternatively, you can give your files to a professional print shop.
