- 1). Load the GUI (Graphic User Interface) for the Linksys router by typing 192.168.0.1 into a web browser. Enter the default username and password of "admin." If "admin" does not work, reference the owner's manual or Router Passwords.com for a list of Linksys router default usernames and passwords. Linksys has sometimes changed the default logins after firmware updates, which could render the owner's manual obsolete.
- 2). Navigate to "Wireless" on the black menu bar, then navigate to the "Wireless Security" sub-section on the lower purple bar.
- 3). Change the password next to "WPA Shared Key" and click on "Update Settings."
