    • 1). Allow the calculator screen to go blank by not pressing any buttons. This means that the calculator has turned off.

    • 2). Depress the "On" key and then depress the minus, or "-," key. Release the "On" key first and then release the minus key. "Pr Error" should be displayed on the screen. The continuous memory, which is the stored memory, will have been reset.

    • 3). Press the "y^x" key and the "On" key simultaneously on the calculator. This will reset the x-variable memory.

    • 4). Depress the "On" key and then depress the "x" key. Release the "On" key first and then the "x" key. This will run a 25-second systems test that will reset the calculator. The screen should display the message "-8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8." Any other message means that the calculator needs repairing.
