How to Use Bait Bands
- 1). Attach a size 14 circle hook to the end of your fishing line with a Palomar knot. Moisten the knot before pulling it tight. Trim excess line from the knot with scissors.
- 2). Hold the hook by the bend so the shank is accessible.
- 3). Hold a bait band against the shank of the hook. Position the band so it is centered on the shank.
- 4). Fold the band around the hook shank to form two loops. Pinch one loop together and insert it through the opposite loop.
- 5). Pull the pinched loop through the opposite loop to tighten the band against the hook shank. Insert a boilie, nugget or pellet into the rubber band loop extending from the hook shank.
