- 1). Click on the "Start" button in the lower left-hand corner of your computer. Select "Control Panel" from the list.
- 2). Double-click on the "Administrative Tools" icon and then the "Services" icon. Scroll through the list of services and highlight the "Print Spooler" service. In Windows Vista and Windows 7, you might not see the "Administrative Tools" icon right away--if not, click the "Classic View" option to see all the icons.
- 3). Right-click on the "Print Spooler" service. Choose "Start" from the list to restart the print spooler.
