- 1). Line up the notches in the slotted end of the miniSD card with the slot on one end of the adapter. Plug the other end of the adapter into a USB port on the PC.
- 2). Click on the "Start" button at the lower left corner of the screen. Select "Devices" from the "My Computer" pop-up menu. Right-click on the icon of the miniSD card that is in the middle of the window that has appeared.
- 3). Name the miniSD card if desired in the "Name" column" of the window. Select "MSDOS-Fat" from the "Format" drop-down menu. Uncheck the "Quick Format" checkbox.
- 4). Wait as a progress bar fills in from left to right at the bottom of the screen. Close the program once the progress bar has completely filled in.
- 5). Right-click on the icon of the miniSD card that is now on the desktop. Select "Eject" from the pop-up menu.
