Directions for Silver Bead Jewelry
- 1). Wrap a length of beading cord around your wrist and trim it to the length you want for the bracelet. Add 2 inches extra to allow for tying and the space that the beads will take up.
- 2). Stretch out the beading cord on top of a dry washcloth.
- 3). Thread the beads onto the cord. Alternate between the large and small beads. Start and end with larger, more ornate beads.
- 4). Tie a knot at each end of the beading. Leave a tail on each end long enough to thread through the tying loops on the jewelry clasp pieces and double knot.
- 1). Thread a short piece of jewelry wire through the largest of the silver beads. Use round-nosed pliers to twist a round loop into the ends of the wire where they protrude from the bead; this is called a rosary loop.
- 2). Create a rosary loop with a smaller bead in the same manner.
- 3). Attach the loop of the small bead to the loop of the large bead, creating a pendant. Bend the wire of the loops closed to secure them in place.
- 4). Thread the pendant onto a length of thick beading cord, long enough for a necklace of the desired size. Wear as-is or thread the rest of the cord with smaller silver beads. Use at least two types of beads in an alternating pattern, as with the bracelet.
- 1). Rosary loop both a small and a large bead.
- 2). Thread the small bead's loop through the hanging loop on the wire earring hooks.
- 3). Cut an inch-long length of silver chain using the wire snips. Thread the top link of the chain through the bottom rosary loop of the small bead.
- 4). Thread one of the rosary loops of the large bead through the bottom link of the chain.
- 5). Repeat Steps 1 through 4 to make a second, identical earring.
