How to Adjust Servo Arms
- 1). Unscrew the bolt that fastens the steering mechanism of the vehicle to the servo arm. This small plastic piece is called a servo horn, and it is mounted directly to the servo arm by a single screw. Pull the servo arm off the servo once the screw is removed.
- 2). Connect your RC vehicle's battery to the receiver, then turn on both the vehicle and the transmitter. The servo will react to the sudden signal sent by the transmitter. Place a small dot on the servo arm with the permanent marker to make a note of its current position.
- 3). Use the steering trim adjustment knob on the transmitter to turn the servo arm. Make slight adjustments by rotating the trim knob counterclockwise or clockwise. Test the functionality of the servo arm by turning the regular steering wheel on the transmitter to see if the servo rotates the same distance in either direction. Rotate the steering wheel as far as possible in either direction, watching how far the black dot travels from the center point.
- 4). Position the front tires in a straight line, then re-attach the servo horn to the servo arm. Fasten them together with the mounting screw.
